n the book " The Deciphered Bible, or the Requiem of a civilization " Dr.Sci.Tech. Alexander Lazarev tries to prove, that he managed to open the most important precept of the Bible. As he said, in the Bible the prevention is ciphered: in XXI century the mankind should test the greatest shocks caused by split of continents (http://www.facts.kiev.ua/Dec2001/1212/06.htm - rus)The author examines questions of a prediction of the future through decoding what - that algorithm of the latent texts of the Bible. It not the first work on the given question.
Questions of decoding Torah (Bible) and, thus, of prediction of the future were interesting for people for a long time. Isaak Newton was engaged "The Latent codes of the Bible " and for this purpose he has learnt Hebrew. " Newton was so sure in it (that there is a latent code), that he has spent more than half of life to calculate it ".
Rabbi Chaim Michael Dov Weissmandl who was living in Prague in the beginning of 20 century also became interested in the theory of " the latent codes " and tried "to break open" a bible code, but without the computer it was extremely difficult to do such work.
"In the spring of 85 Doron Witztum and Eliyahu Rips discovered the phenomenon of convergences between pairs of conceptually related words in the Book of Genesis. Shortly thereafter they defined a methodology for evaluating the significance of these convergences. The necessary software was prepared by Yoav Rosenberg. Later that summer WRR (Doron Witztum, Eliyahu Rips and Yoav Rosenberg) decided to investigate convergences between the names and appellations of famous rabbinical personalities and their dates of birth and death. "Michael Drosnin and admirers of his popular book, The Bible Code, are claiming that decoding the Bible allegedly leads to the discovery of prophecies and profound truths of a secular nature, not all of which are related to the Jews. Drosnin claims that the Bible is the only text in which these encoded phrases are found in a statistically significant pattern, and that the chance of this being a random phenomenon is unlikely... Not everybody agrees with the Drosnin hypothesis, including Harold Gans, the retired Defense Department cryptologist who corroborated the work of Witztum, Rips and Rosenberg... Dr.Eliyahu Rips, one of the authors of the study that started the Bible Code craze, has also made a public statement regarding Drosnin's Bible Code.
I do not support Mr Drosnin's work on the Codes, nor the conclusions he derives .....All attempts to extract messages from Torah codes,or to make predictions based on them, are futile and are of no
value...
But professor Menachem Cohen, a celebrated Bible scholar at Bar-Ilan University, has criticized Witztun et al. on two counts: (1) there are several other Hebrew versions of Genesis for which equidistant letter sequences (ELS) does not produce statistically significant results; and (2) the appellations given to the Great Men in Israel was inconsistent and arbitrary...
Other critics, such as Brendan McKay, have done their own analysis of War and Peace with remarkably different results than those reported by Witztum et al... "

Thus, despite of remarks, decoding the Torah theoretically is possible. In Judaism the Torah is understood as the plan, the program of a structure of the Universe and its development , that was given by the Creator through Moses.
" Moses develops idea about comprehension of the upper world in the Torah, but not everyone is capable to make out behind the described family and historical events something deeper; open it may,
kabbalists. People search of the Torah Code, find in it every possible dependences. There are millions kinds of communications(connections) between any parts Torah because each part is connected to all others. The quantity(amount) of letters, words, expressions, blocks is counted up... Recently with the help of computers huge work on studying internal structure, kinds of letters, their components is made. In a result it gives nothing to the person because it does not know that stands up for each symbol, behind each point, behind each inclination of the letter, behind each combination, behind the certain moving of words. It is difficult to say if the algorithm offered by Lazarev is true. He does not review it, referring to patenting. But theoretically, it is possible. After publication of algorithm it would be possible to lead independent researches and to check up reliability of results.
But it is important to pay attention to the following. Even if the algorithm also is true and with the help of decoding of Torah the coherent text about forthcoming future, it only ONE OF REALIZATIONS, VERSIONS of this future turns out. Under the kabbalistic terms it is possible to change an adverse course of a history and it in hands of people. And in the Torah for certain there are layers, the levels of knowledge more difficult ciphered where there are ALL possible(probable) versions of the future.
Let's try to understand why the prediction of the future basically is possible. Our life is chains of accidents, historical events frequently depend on separate persons. The question is: what would be, for example, if in the childhood Chyngys-Chan has died of a typhus, or Stalin became the priest, instead of the revolutionary.
The Creation, including our material universe, is in a field of desires, that is in that display of the Creator for the sake of what the Creation was created, in the kabbalistic terms. For the sake of pleasure of the person, as wreath of this Creation, immeasurable pleasure and pleasure. This process occurs by receipt of so-called light: displays of the Creator in our world as desires, and further this field of desires is transformed as ideas, actions of separate people, all mankind
And while these desires at the person are selfish it is possible to predict what will be the response, reactions to these desires with very high degree of probability. There are stages of development which refer to as animal and human selfish desires in a kabbalistic terminology. At these stages people have no freedom of will yet. They it is precisely predicted (selfishly ) respond to the desires sent to them by Creator through the mechanism of receipt of light from the Upper Worlds. Therefore all historical events: revolutions and counterrevolutions, rise and decline of global Empires, becoming of religious and secular currents etc. went precisely (or with small correction) on the selfish plan of development. This plan is predicted with a high degree of probability and is ciphered in Torah as the version of development .
Probably, it is easier to
understand, why natural cataclysms also are predicted. They as though do not
depend (or depend in a small degree) on actions of the person. They submit to
Laws of a nature, movement of planets, comets, and also to the processes
occuring on the Sun, in star Galaxies etc. Last centuries a technical selfish activity
of mankind has strongly undermined and undermines biosphere of the Earth.
Forthcoming natural accidents, probably, also are possible for expecting if do
not make change in the way of development, if development will go on selfish
script.
But, according to the cabbalistic doctrine, the purpose of the
Universe is to lead persons to Creator. It is necessary to create such influence
on persons (as the mechanism of encouragement and punishments ) that they
has realized perniciousness of development selfish desires bringing huge harm
for the further development of, the relatives, people, all mankind and
eventually, all Creation by huge internal work.
At this stage of development named in Kabbalistic terms disclosing of the Creator (that is gradual purchase of his properties such as absolute altruism) also occurs at people, going this way, freedom of will, freedom to resist a instinctive selfish desires and purposefully to transform, transform them to altruistic intentions. At occurrence of critical weight of people going by disclosing of the Creator with use of a Kabbalah technique probably change of the future mankind, realization of softer variant of the program of transformation, transformation of human nature, the program given by the Creator in the beginning of Creation. And the future depends from all of us, first of all from Jewish people.
And appropriate "the variant of the future " in Torah is undoubtedly "ciphered". The appropriate algorithm that is dependent not only and not so much from intellectual efforts, but rather from a spiritual level of the researcher (a level of his screen of an opposition to "self-pleasure") is necessary to decipher this layer.
At last, it would be desirable to pay attention to a modern line of association, synthesis of religious belief and scientific knowledge:
" Today contradictions between scientific and religious sights on the world yet are not removed. Atheists trust only that him the science opens, and religious trust in the Upper Force even without direct proofs. The atheism is necessary for mankind for development in itself of self-criticism and self-checking before aspiration of weights in spiritual work. The present spiritual work demands as well the scientific approach since without criticism any progress forward is impossible. But the belief too is necessary for the person since at the certain stages of spiritual work of persons should continue to make efforts at all not feeling and not understanding the true condition, here again to not do without belief _. "
